1. Fertility assessment
Before IVF, the specialist reviews both partners’ history and recommends relevant investigations. The goal is to understand why IVF is being considered and how the cycle can be planned responsibly.
2. Ovarian stimulation and monitoring
Medication may be used to support the growth of multiple follicles. Ultrasound and sometimes blood tests help the clinical team monitor response and adjust the plan.
3. Egg retrieval and fertilisation
Eggs are collected during a planned procedure. In the laboratory they may be combined with sperm conventionally or through ICSI when clinically indicated.
4. Embryo development and transfer
The laboratory observes embryo development. A suitable embryo may be transferred or frozen according to the clinical plan.
5. Follow-up
The clinic provides medication instructions, precautions and the correct date for a pregnancy test. Symptoms or concerns should be discussed with the treating team.
